Product Spotlight & Sample Giveaway Contest for Zi Cao Salve

I began making salves with Zi Cao Gen, also known as Lithospermum root. Zi Cao translates from Chinese as "Purple Herb." The herb itself is considered cold and cooling in nature. As you can see from the balm picture, the infused herb gives the oil a deep rich reddish burgundy color.

Zi Cao is used internally and externally in Chinese herbology to cool the blood. Traditionally this herb is infused in black sesame oil, which is also considered cooling in nature. My salve is made the traditional way with the infused Zi Cao in Sesame and Virgin Olive oil together with beeswax to make a soft soothing salve. Zi Cao oil is used in Chinese therapeutics for burns, blisters, vaginitis, itchy dry skin, and diaper rash. I have used my salve successfully for relief from these traditional indications, and have also found it invaluable for soothing itchy mosquito bites and fire ant bites. Two conditions that this oil or salve is not traditionally indicated for are fungal or oozing rashes.

I have had many positive reviews of this product since I started making it. This one is my favorite from Acupuncture Physician Dr. Richard Frieberg in South Florida, "As a practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Florida, I haven't found anyone in the past ten years who makes preparations like Cory does. I purchased the Zi Cao (purple) salve to have on hand for my youngest 2 year old grandson and recently had the opportunity to use it on a 7 year old female patient presenting with inflamed bug bites all over her body. She was not a happy camper. Within minutes after applying Cory's salve the pain was 90% gone."

Would you like to win a sample container of this salve? To enter to win the contest for a free sample please visit my etsy store and have a look at my other salves & balms: http://aquarianbath.blogspot.com

I would be interested in hearing about the carrot top shampoo bar. I have really long hair and am curious how that works.
btw - I think the zi cao salve would be really great up here in Michigan. Every year my son and I get bit up by mosquitoes and both of us WELT up badly from them. This would be great for Scouts!
Thanks for the giveaway!

I would love to learn more about the Black Magic Clarifying Charcoal Soap. It is unusual for soap to be black and I am also interested in the clarifying properties.

HI! First time on this blog, lots of intersting products to view and use, especially for me since I have a host of illnesses, one being psoraisis. I grow all my own vegetables organically and love to garden generally, but the area I live in (Massachusetts) has a really short veggie growing season unfortunately. Can't wait to try some of Aquarian Bath's products.
